Modalities for your wellness journey

ASSISTED Lymphatic THERAPY (ALT)

Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle light touch massage that helps to direct lymphatic fluid towards the lymph nodes, stimulating proper flow of the lymphatic system, and excreting toxins from the body.  Sara uses a machine called an XP2 to assist with this lymphatic drainage technique.  Through research and clinical experience, it has been found that Assisted Lymphatic Therapy, using the XP2, eliminates toxins 20 times faster, and penetrates deeper into the lymphatic system than manual techniques.  A combination of vibrational, light, and electrical waves help to stimulate the flow by causing the dissociation of proteins that have become trapped in the interstitium. When trapped proteins release their bond, the stagnate lymph is liberated and will flow out into its normal filtration and reabsorption channels.  Once a large amount of toxins are eliminated, the body is able to enter a more deeply relaxed and healing state.

ALT can positively impact:

  • General Inflammation

  • Lymphedema

  • Edema and Water Retention

  • Cancer

  • Heart Disease

  • Post Cosmetic Surgery - healing time

  • Cosmetic enhancement by fluid deposit reductions

  • Lyme Disease

  • Pre and Post Athletic Stress - decrease muscle/tendon strain and healing time

  • Enlarged Prostate

  • Weight Loss

  • Higher Energy Levels

The lymphatic system plays a huge role in the proper functioning of the immune system and all other systems of the body.  Ensuring that the lymphatic system is draining and functioning properly, allows stress to be removed from other systems, and thus efficient functioning for the body as a whole so that we can live to our fullest capacity.  Sara has developed a huge passion for this work, as she has seen it transform people’s lives.

MASSAGE

Sara has a very intuitive approach to massage. Her style blends clinical techniques, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, fascial stretching, and deep work to balance and reset the body, creating a harmonious equilibrium among the tissues. This allows for deeper healing to resonate through the body to visceral organs and the mind.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY (CST)

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the physiological craniosacral system, which is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch to release restrictions in the sacrum, spine, and cerebrum, craniosacral therapy has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and circulatory systems.

Sara listens deeply to your craniosacral rhythm and uses gentle hand placements in order to facilitate the innate healing processes of your body.  CST is being used as both a preventative health measure, as well as for acute conditions and has been shown to be beneficial for those who suffer from migraines, headaches, fibromyalgia, sleep difficulties, chronic pain, scoliosis, stress, learning impairments, emotional difficulties, concussions/TBIs, chronic fatigue, among many others. Craniosacral therapy has also been shown to help with the components related to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, and anxiety.

Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Assissted Lymphatic Therapist, Craniosacral Therapist

Sara has had a love for the human body for as long as she can remember. She studied kinesiology at Georgia Southern University and then went on to become a licensed massage therapist and craniosacral practitioner.  Working through her own physical injuries, she learned the importance of taking care of all aspects of her being: spiritual, emotional, and physical.  She deeply cares for others and seeks to be a guide for people to discover their own healing powers through a deeper connection to their physical body. She believes massage and craniosacral work, along with other modalities, like breath work, yoga, and meditation are great tools to allow this deeper connection to Self.  In her free time she enjoys hiking in the nearby mountains with her pup and cooking with friends.
